Engineer robbed of his bike,laptop and cash
NEW DELHI: A 25-year-old computer engineer was robbed of his bike,laptop and cash by unidentified assailants in Nizamuddin area of Southeast district on Saturday. The police said that Keshpak was going towards ITO when a few persons stopped him and sought help on the pretext that the fuel in their bike has finished. They then drugged him and made away with the cash,bike and laptop. Keshpak,after gaining consciousness,lodged a complaint. His bike was found abandoned near Delhi Golf Club.
Boy held for molesting Class-IX student
NEW DELHI: A boy was apprehended for allegedly molesting a Class-IX student in the Saket area of South Delhi on Sunday. The girl was walking home when Vikas stopped her and asked her to get on his bike. When she refused,the boy allegedly misbehaved with her. After a complaint from the girls family,Vikas was apprehended. The incident took place in Lado Sarai where the girl lives with her family. Vikas also lives in the same locality,said the police.
NEW DELHI: An NRI woman was allegedly robbed of her gold chain by unidentified motorcycle-borne assailants in East Delhi on Saturday evening. According to the police,the woman,who resides in the USA and had come to Delhi to meet her sister,was travelling in a rickshaw when the assailants snatched her chain. DCP,East Delhi,KC Dwivedi said a case of robbery was lodged at the Shakarpur police station.
Sarna unlikely to appear before Akal Takht
AMRITSAR: Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) chief Paramjit Singh Sarna,who allegedly behaved objectionably with the 1984 anti-Sikh riot victims counsel H S Phoolka,is unlikely to appear before the Akal Takht on Monday. Citing business engagements as the reason,Sarna will be sending a messenger with a written clarification at the Takht,sources said.
