Around Town; Two constables hit by speeding car

Two Delhi Police constables were injured after their bike was hit by a speeding car near Gole Market on Wednesday morning. Police said Dheeraj and Jaideep were patrolling near Ram Krishna Ashram Road around 12.40 am when the incident occurred,police said.

Two Delhi Police constables were injured after their bike was hit by a speeding car near Gole Market on Wednesday morning. Police said Dheeraj (22) and Jaideep (23) were patrolling near Ram Krishna Ashram Road around 12.40 am when the incident occurred,police said. “A speeding Honda City overtook the patrolling bike from the wrong side,which led to the accident. After hitting the motorcycle,the car sped away,” an officer said. The injured constables made a PCR call,following which police took them to the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. A case of rash and negligent driving was registered against the driver. “The constables were able to note down the initial digits of the vehicle’s registration number. A case has been registered. We will trace the driver soon,” the officer said.
