Metro adds another train on Gurgaon corridor
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation added another train to its Qutab Minar-Gurgaon corridor,increasing the frequency of trains on this line to 10 minutes. Services on the corridor were started on Monday with five trains and a frequency of 12 minutes,leading to delays. With the addition of another train,the total number of train trips in a day will increase to 211 from 179,a DMRC spokesperson said.
17-yr-old raped,three arrested
Ghaziabad: A 17-year-old Dalit girl was allegedly raped by four men in a house in Lal Kuan,Ghaziabad. Police sources said the girl,a resident of Vijay Nagar,has identified the accused as Pravesh Goswami,Naresh Yadav,Anil Yadav and Baaru. SSP Raghubir Lal said three of the accused have been arrested. A case of rape and under sections of prevention of crimes against SC/STs has been registered.
BJP demands lower power tariff
Increasing the pressure on the Delhi government,the Delhi BJP has threatened to protest every day at the head office of power regulatory body,DERC,in Malviya Nagar,if the reduced power tariff is not announced within five days. The first part of the protest was held on Tuesday.
