Three arrested for rape in Delhi Cantt

NEW DELHI: Three men were arrested,and two other accused are absconding,for allegedly abducting three women and raping one of them in Southwest Delhis Cantonment area,police said on Tuesday. The incident was reported around midnight on Sunday. The arrested persons are Rakesh,Rakesh Kumar and Govinda,said A K Ojha,DCP (Southwest). In a similar case,the principal of a primary school in Northeast Delhis Mansarovar Park area was arrested for allegedly molesting school girls during an ongoing summer camp organised at his school. Accused,Vinod Mehra (49) allegedly molested an eight-year-old girl who complained to her parents.

Three found unconscious at their residence

NEW DELHI: An 80-year-old woman,her 58-year-old daughter-in-law and their male domestic help were found drugged in mysterious circumstances at their residence in Model Town,Northwest Delhi,on Monday afternoon. Police were informed by Sant Parmanand Hospital authorities around 2.15 pm. The victims had consumed aloo paranthas made from the same dough. No cash or valuables were found missing from their residence, said a senior police officer.

Armymans wife commits suicide

NEW DELHI: A wife of an Indian Army Head Constable allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the terrace of a 10-storey residential building in the Cantonment area on Tuesday morning. The deceased,Mamta (32),was married to Head Constable Surender Singh on February 22,2008. No suicide note was recovered from her possession, said a senior police officer.
