ice arrest six for stealing cars
New Delhi: With the arrest of six persons,the Delhi Police on Thursday claimed to have busted a gang of carjackers and recovered four cars,three motorcycles and five pieces of gold ornaments from them. The arrested persons were identified as Ahsan,Akbar,Arif,Mujammil,Tanvir and Salman.
MCD seals house with man inside
New Delhi: A man was sealed inside his house in South Extention I during a sealing drive by the MCD on Thursday. Police said the complainant,S C Singhal,was at home,while his wife had gone out with her daughter for shopping. The Kotla Mubarakpur police had to be called to the spot to get Singhal released.

New Delhi: The Commissioner of Police has ordered the Vigilance department of the Delhi Police to register a case against S B Yadav,former Station House Officer,and head constable Dilip Chauhan of the Jehangirpuri Railway Station,for allegedly trying to frame a businessman,Naresh Gupta,in a false rape case.
Five Uzbek prostitutes held in Udai Park
New Delhi: The police on Thursday claimed to have busted a call girl racket in the Capital with the arrest of five women,including a pimp,hailing from Uzbekistan. The arrests were made following a tip-off on a high-profile call girl racket involving foreign nationals being run from Udai Park in South Delhi. The women used to be paid anywhere between Rs 30,000 and Rs 50,000 for their services, Ashok Chand,Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime),said.
12-year-old falls into ditch,drowns
New Delhi: A 12-year-old boy died after falling into a ditch in Northeast Delhis Usmanpur area on Thursday evening. Fire brigade officials said,A PCR call was made by a pedestrian,who saw the boy falling into the ditch. By the time the rescue team reached the spot,the victim had drowned. He was rushed to Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital,where he was declared brought dead.
Solanki murder: Police announce reward
New Delhi: The Delhi Police on Thursday announced a reward of Rs 50,000 for anybody who can provide information on a 30-year-old man,who allegedly murdered his girlfriend,Neetu Solanki,and left her body near New Delhi Railway Station last month. The accused has been identified as Raju Gehlot.
Houses burgled,Rs 45 lakh stolen
New Delhi: Burglars struck in places across the Capital in separate incidents between Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning,police said,adding that they decamped with cash and jewellery worth Rs 45 lakh. In the first incident reported from West Delhis Tagore Garden area on Wednesday afternoon,Rajnish Narang and his wife came home to find Rs 10 lakh missing. The second incident occurred at a cloth shop in Southwest Delhis Dabri area around 9.15 am,when shop owner Khusiram Tayal noticed that his shop had been ransacked.
Six former judges granted bail in PF Scam
New Delhi: A Special CBI Court granted bail to the six former judges accused in the Provident Fund scam,after they were presented in the court on Thursday. R P Yadav,R P Mishra,R N Mishra,R S Chaubey,Arun Kumar and Ajay Kumar Singh received bail after furnishing a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh and two sureties of Rs 1 lakh each.
