Eight-year-old boy murdered in Jaitpur
NEW DELHI: An eight-year-old boy was abducted from his residence,sodomised and strangled in Southeast Delhis Jaitpur area late on Wednesday night. The child,according to police,went missing from his residence around 10 pm on Tuesday. He was rushed to the Trauma Centre at the AIIMS,where he was declared brought dead. One person has been detained for his alleged involvement in the incident,and a case of sodomy-cum-murder has been registered at the Jaitpur Police Station.
Three rob businessman at gunpoint
New Delhi: Three men entered the house of a 45-year-old businessman on Wednesday night and robbed him of Rs 2 lakh as well as gold jewellery. Though the assailants reportedly opened fire,nobody was harmed. According to police,the complainant Raj Kumar Srivastava was at his Kailash Nagar home with his family when three men entered his house around 10.30 pm and robbed him at gunpoint. We have launched an investigation, police said.
Gurgaon pump owners told to install CCTV cams
Gurgaon: The Gurgaon police have urged the petrol pump owners to install high quality CCTV cameras to aid police investigation in case of a crime. Besides this,the police on Thursday held a meeting with petrol pump owners in the city to discuss the progress of the no helmet no petrol campaign initiated to encourage two-wheeler riders to wear helmets.
Two e-way guards,cop assaulted
Gurgaon: Two officials of the Gurgaon-Delhi Expressway and a police constable were assaulted by four persons on Thursday. According to police,the incident occurred after the three asked them to move their car from a no-parking zone. Identifying the accused as truck drivers,police said three of them have been arrested.
