Noida: New Senior Superintendent of Police (Gautam Budh Nagar) Jyoti Narain addressed mediapersons at the Sector-14 police control room on Sunday,saying the police force will actively work towards winning back the confidence of farmers in Bhatta Parsaul. After the agitation in the Bhatta Parsaul resulted in the deaths of farmers,it has become imperative to win their trust again,he said,adding that those inciting the farmers will not be spared. The new SSP shortlisted the agenda for his tenure. “We will focus on actively disciplining police officers in their conduct towards the common man,” he said.

Teacher gets 6 yrs in jail for beating help to death

NEw Delhi: A Delhi court has sentenced a woman teacher to six years in jail for battering her teenage help to death with a wooden plank in a fit of rage for a minor mistake the victim committed. “Abusive and exploitative employers need to be severely dealt with and punished,” said Additional Sessions Judge Kamini Lau,sentencing 42-year-old trained graduate teacher (TGT) Ashu Malhotra,a resident of Rajouri Garden in West Delhi. The judge also imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh.

Late-night brawl in Saket community centre

NEw delhi: A brawl broke out between two groups at a community centre in South Delhi’s Saket area at 2 am on Sunday. Police said the incident took place when a group of youngsters,including girls,were leaving a pub at the centre. “A man from one group abused someone from the other group,triggering a confrontation. No case was registered,” said a police officer.
