Woman found dead under car in Greater Noida near rented home, murder case filed

Body of missing woman found under car near her Greater Noida home, police register murder case
Hours after a 27-year-old woman went missing, her body was found under a car barely 50 metres from her rented home in Greater Noida’s Beta 2 sector on Monday morning, said police. A case of murder has been registered against an unidentified suspect.
During the probe, it was revealed that the woman had left home on Sunday morning for work. When she did not return later in the day, her younger brother, who lived with her, tried calling her on her mobile phone, which was switched off, said officers. He then called his relatives and informed them about the disappearance. “Before they could approach the police on Monday, her body was discovered,” said Station House Officer Vinod Kumar, Beta 2 police station.
“Around 9 am, locals spotted a woman’s body under a car barely 50 metres from her home,” Kumar added.
Police said the woman originally hailed from Uttar Pradesh. She worked at a call centre in Noida.
Officers said a few bruises were spotted on the woman’s body. Her body was sent for post-mortem and a panel examination. “The woman, along with her younger brother, moved to Greater Noida from Jaipur around a year ago. Their parents have died and her elder brother lives in Agra,” said an officer.
The officer added, “On the complaint of her family members, a murder case under Section 103 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita was registered against the unidentified suspect at Beta 2 police station.”
Police said they are scanning CCTV cameras in nearby areas to get clues.
