Riots: Order deferred
A city court deferred order in the missing chargesheet case of the anti-Sikh riots involving Sajjan Kumar to July 14. The case would be heard afresh. Victims’ counsel said they would approach the HC seeking explanation on why the judges transferred the case on the day of the order.

Fake fax at Raj Bhavan
The J&K Raj Bhavan has received a ‘fake’ fax from the Vice President’s Office asking them to facilitate a ‘darshan’ for his spouse at the Vaishno Devi temple. A complaint has been filed with Tughlaq Road police station.

Sheila on CNG hike
Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has said the hike in price of CNG by the Centre will be taken into consideration while deciding a new fare structure for auto-rickshaws in the Capital. The Transport department has been asked to prepare a report on this,she said.

MCD: carbon credits
The MCD has become the first civic body in the country to win carbon credits. An advance of Rs 5 lakh against net CER (Carbon Emission Reduction) earning at Okhla Compost plant was handed over to municipal Commissioner K S Mehra on Friday.

‘Give report on crime’
Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Friday expressed concern over growing crime in Delhi. She added that the law and order situation is not good and has asked the police commissioner to file a report on crime in Delhi.

Sealing stayed
The High Court on Friday stayed its order on sealing of towers till September and also suspended the constitution of a panel to study the health risks allegedly caused by the towers after the MCD challenged the earlier order.
