Overnight showers brought down the minimum temperature slightly in the city on Saturday. The minimum temperature stood at 11.6 degrees Celsius,and the maximum was recorded at 23.7 degrees,which is 0.2 degrees higher than Fridays maximum,the Met department said.
A total of 14 mm rainfall was recorded till 8.30 am on Saturday.
The minimum temperature had touched a record of 15 degrees Celsius on Tuesday,the highest for the past five years in February. But it dropped to 10.6 degrees on Thursday. Heavy rain accompanied by lightning and hailstorm had lashed Delhi on Friday evening. This is the highest rainfall during the month of February in the past three years. The Met department has forecast a partly cloudy sky,mist and shallow fog for Sunday. The minimum and maximum temperature will hover around 11 and 24 degrees Celsius,respectively,officials said.
