The Delhi Police Crime Branch on Friday issued a final notice to AAP’s Uttam Nagar candidate Naresh Balyan, asking him to join investigation in an illegal liquor case or face arrest.
Police said Balyan had ignored the summons sent by them. In a fresh notice sent to him, police stated that he would face action if he does not respond.

Police registered a case under the Excise Act last month, after they recovered 497 cartons of “for sale in Haryana only” liquor from a godown in Uttam Nagar.
The notice sent to Balyan on February 5 states, “You need to narrate all the facts as there is reasonable suspicion that you have committed a cognizable offence. In case you do not appear… Necessary action will be taken.”
