3 arrested for constable’s murder

Three days after a 35-year-old police constable was found dead near a blood-stained car in Outer Delhi’s Bawana area, police have arrested three people in connection to the case. The accused had allegedly killed the constable as he was “sexually exploiting” one of them, said police sources.

“After interrogations, it was disclosed that the constable had been sexually exploiting one of the accused for the last eight months. He was also trying to coerce another accused in to giving into his demands. He was also eyeing the sister of one of the accused,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer), Vikramjit Singh.

On the night of September 25, the three accused met the constable near a dhaba, said the police.

“The three accused, along with the constable, drove towards an isolated spot and beat him to death,” said the DCP.

One of the accused was arrested from Rohini and the others were arrested from near Tikri border, said the police.
