Youth steals car during ‘test drive’

In a unique modus operandi,a youth on Tuesday sped away with a second-hand Ford Fiesta – with VIP number – after taking it for a test drive from a local dealer.

Police have begun investigations into the case on the complaint of Prince Trehan of Trehan Motors. As per routine practice,Trehan had sent one of his employees with the prospective buyer for the test drive.

The customer made a call to his mother and told her she could join the drive as he was on his way to the house. The man then drove the car to Green Avenue,stopped in front of a house and asked the employee to ring the door bell so that his mother can have a look at the car.

As the employee walked towards the house,the fraudster sped away with the car.
