While she is known for taking risks with the characters she portrays in films,Kalki Koechlin isnt so daring when it comes to sports. The actress,who is a part of the road film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara,did not experiment with any adventure sports,unlike her co-stars. While Farhan Akhtar,Hrithik Roshan,Abhay Deol and even Katrina Kaif took lessons in activities like deep-sea diving and sky diving,Kalki merely watched from a distance. An ardent trekker,she admitted to lacking the courage for any of the risky stuff that her colleagues attempted. We suppose it doesnt matter,as long as she makes up for it with screen presence and good acting in ZNMD.
Canada Calling
Akshay Kumar is leaving no stone unturned to make sure that his next co-production Breakaway achieves the hit status. To begin with,the film will open at the Toronto Film Festival which commences on September 8. Directed by Robert Liebermann,the Indo-Canadian film is based on Canadas favourite sport,ice hockey,and has been shortlisted in the competition due to its strong Canadian angle and Hollywood star power. It is the story of a young man of an Indo-Canadian family who struggles between his family expectations and his dream to become a hockey star. The film has Vinay Virmani playing the lead,alongside Russell Peters,Clayton Peters and Akshay Kumar.
