On a jet plane

There are more similarities between Shahid Kapoor’s character in Mausam and Top Gun’s Tom Cruise. Apart from the look since he too plays an Air Force pilot,the Indian actor is set to fly a fighter jet like the Hollywood star did in his film. But Shahid will fly an F16 Super Viper — and that’s a first. Not just for an Indian actor,as Tom had flown an F15.

Remaking History

After the super success of Yamla Pagla Deewana,Dharmendra is on a high. While he is geared to announce the sequel to this blockbuster,he also plans to remake couple of his yesteryear films. “I want to remake Pratigya and Mera Gaon Mera Desh,two films which are very close to my heart,” says the veteran actor. But these two movies he wants to remake only with his sons — either Sunny Deol or Bobby Deol. With YPD giving a boost to both their careers and papa taking their career in his own hands,looks like Deol clan is looking forward to some happier times.

Good cop,bad cop

After being on the wrong side of the law in the blockbuster that catapulted his Bollywood career,Sonu Sood is set to play a cop in two of his forthcoming films. Kabeer Kaushik’s next directorial project,Maximum,starring Arshad Warsi,is a film on the underworld. Then there is Puri Jagganath’s Boodha where Sonu shares screen space with Amitabh Bachchan in a role that is modelled on the legendary actor’s iconic role in Zanjeer. But the uniform doesn’t charm Sonu so much — the actor is waiting to challenge Salman Khan once again in Dabangg’s sequel. So are we.
