US-based foundation announces scholarships

The USA-based North South Foundation (NSF),with its headquarters in Chicago and Hyderabad,has announced its yearly scholarships for meritorious students who are finding it difficult to pursue studies due to financial constraints. NSF has granted more than 9,500 scholarships over the past 24 years,to exceptionally qualified and needy students.

This year,NSF plans to offer more than 1,250 scholarships for admission to engineering,medicine and polytechnic courses. Eligibility criteria for these scholarships requires the family income of the applicant to be less than Rs 65,000 per annum. The students must be among the top 10 ranks in Common Entrance Tests (CET/JET/IEE) in 10th or 12th exams. Short-listed candidates along with their parents will be interviewed for the final selection.

NSF scholarship supports the student for the entire duration of his/her course,renewable every year.
