Two persons died and two others sustained grievous injuries,when a car in which they were traveling plunged into a deep gorge near Bhared village under Arki sub division in the district on Sunday night.
The deceased were identified as Vijay Singh (59),resident of Palkari village of Dhami area and Deep Ram (55),resident of Okhru village of Shimla district.
The injuredChattar Singh and Daleep Singh were immediately rushed to civil hospital Arki,where doctors referred them to Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital,Shimla.
Preliminary investigations by the police revealed that all the occupants of the car (HP 09-1704) were returning to Palkari village after attending a wedding ceremony in a nearby village Jania.
As soon as the car reached near Bhared village,the driver of the car allegedly lost control over the vehicle and it rolled down into the -200-feet deep gorge,leaving two persons dead on the spot.
A case has been registered against the driver under Sections 270,337 and 304-A of the Indian Penal Code.
