Twice Over

For theatre lovers in the city,this entails a double treat. On April 18,Centre for Education and Voluntary Action will present the stage production Dou Kahaniyan,that brings together two stories from varied genres. While Bholaram Ka Jeev is a satire that depicts rampant corruption through the tale of a dead clerk,Bholaram,the second narrative titled Kufr Ki Mohar presents the quandaries of Bakar Hussain and his wife Zeenath,who represent the entire generation that was affected by Partition. Though different in subject,the two tales question our cultural history and the history of the future.

Dou Kahaniyan will be staged on April 18 at Randhawa Auditorium,Punjab Kala Bhawan,Sector 16,Chandigarh,at 7.00 pm.
