Sangria is a Spanish/ Portuguese wine punch that is typically an inhabitant of barbecue parties and Sunday brunches. Sangria is normally always made with red wine mixed with crushed fresh fruit and topped with lots of ice. Variations of the same include the addition of a sweetener or a spirit such as brandy. It is ideally had with tapas,or any suitable replacement to nibble on.

Sangria is normally served in a pitcher to share and is particularly notorious with large groups of women. While it is healthy and refreshing,it is known to cause hangovers like no other.
