In a bid to recreate the magic and nostalgia of timeless celluloid tales crafted by the dream merchant of Bollywood,Yash Raj Films,Max brings to television a Yash raj film festival replete with breathtaking locations,memorable songs,dance sequences and heart wrenching stories till February 19 everyday at 8 pm,Monday to Friday. From Juhi Chawla’s dimpled smile and Amrita Singh’s award winning performance as the jealous sister in the film Aaina,Sri Devi’s effervescent and evergreen charm in Chandni to King Khan in his early days of enacting the eternal romantic in Dil to Pagal Hai,love went beyond the barriers of time and geography in Lamhe,Silsila and Veer-Zara,tune in to the festival of love on Max.

Taking Stock
Investing your time on entertainment this month is a very good idea especially now with the recession fading away,investors will seek new hope with the launch of Bollywood’s own Share Bazaar,where movies,actors and actresses will be traded like shares. That’s right,get set for Channel V’s Bollywood Nonsensex,a one of its kind Bollywood Stock Market show where apart from the knowledge on the funds up for grabs and the stock performance of the stars,viewers will also catch the show with a funny ticker talking about different share values. VJ Juhi and VJ Manish will also inform keen investors about the movements in the stock charts,market caps of various actors,52 week highs and lows,future outlook etc. Corporate statements will be made by the stars themselves encouraging viewers to buy their shares. Bollywood stars,film personalities and new film releases will be assigned values and a daily ‘nonsensex’ number will fluctuate based on the day’s market events viz. successes,failures,link-ups,news,fights etc. Investors will also be allowed to make calls for expert opinion on whether to keep a star’s or film’s stock or not! So tune in and take stock!

Technical Point
In order to make science exciting and accessible to schoolchildren across the country,the Ministry of Science & Technology and Earth Sciences and National Geographic Channel have announced a unique partnership under which Minister of Science & Technology and Earth Sciences,Prithviraj Chavan unveiled the ‘Science Mein Twist’ series that will be aired on National Geographic Channel. This initiative is part of an innovative year-long campaign announced by the Ministry and the Channel to promote Indian Science and Technology. In addition to this,a documentary film,‘Cutting Carbon’ will also be aired on the channel. Apart from being available in Hindi and English feed on Nat Geo,Science Mein Twist and Cutting Carbon will be showcased in 5 other languages – Bengali,Marathi,Gujarati,Tamil and Kannada on Doordarshan. The programmes would be promoted extensively for six months on National Geographic Channel as well as on FOX History & Entertainment through exciting promos along with an interactive microsite on http://www.natgeotv.co.in. The initiative includes a nation-wide school outreach programme with DVDs of these programmes being distributed in over 1,000 schools across India. The channel will also initiate a direct school engagement programme to encourage science clubs across 400 schools.
