A theatre collaboration was initiated three years ago between Ranga Shankara,Bangalore,and the Schnawwl Theatre Mannheim of Germany. This month,that collaboration will see Boy With A Suitcase a moving tale of a boy who leaves his war-torn country to make the long journey to London,where his sister lives being performed for the first time in India,at Ranga Shankara. The play premiered in Mannheim,in April this year,and was well-received by the audience. Directed by Andrea Gronemeyer of Schnawwl Theater Mannheim,the production features Indian and German actors,musicians and technicians and effortlessly blends the two cultures.
