Yash Raj’s next will see debutant actor Ranveer Singh opposite Anushka Sharma

It’s a brand New Year,and Yash Raj is already announcing major projects. The latest is a grand launch of newcomer Ranveer Singh opposite Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’s Anushka Sharma. The film will be directed by Maneesh Sharma,Associate Director on Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi,which created box office history for both Yash Raj Films and Shah Rukh Khan. Produced by Aditya Chopra,the film has roped in Ranveer,a complete fresher with no modelling or acting experience. Apparently,the guy under wraps (was selected after his very first audition,having impressed Aditya instantly. The story runs something like this: just out of Delhi University,Shruti (Anushka) and Bittoo (Ranveer) reluctantly set out on their tumultuous entrepreneurial venture. Together their friendship and business enters the ups and downs of the world of the glamour and glitz of Delhi baraats and weddings! The untitled film starts shooting from today and is scheduled for release later this year.
