It’s being sold as the world’s world’s first mini-truck with C2 CRDe technology. After Tata,it’s Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd turn to get in a competitive gear and launch its mini truck Maxximo at Rs 2.78 lakh (ex-showroom Chandigarh). The first product to roll out from Mahindra’s state-of-the-art Chakan plant,the Maxximo was recently unveiled at the 10th Auto Expo 2010 held in New Delhi. The world’s first mini truck to be powered by a two-cylinder CRDe engine with DOHC technology and four valves per cylinder,the Maxximo scores brownie points in terms of technology,style,safety and comfort. “The Maxximo is also available with free maintenance for one year/40,000 km – a first for the segment,” said Rajesh Jejurikar,Chief Of Operations,Automotive Sector,Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. A result of intensive consumer insight,the Maxximo captures the latent and expressed needs of the customer and is an ideal vehicle for small-cargo movement. The Mahindra Maxximo will be launched in February in select markets and will be made available across the country in a phased manner.
