It’s a winning combination all the way where high fashion meets cricketing passion! And the latest to be bitten by the cricketing bug is the countrys celebrated designer Tarun Tahiliani. With the Indian Premier League (IPL) now into its final leg,the designer has rolled out a glamorous albeit limited edition range of T-shirts keeping in mind the team colours and names. Lalit Modi has been the champion of this idea,making IPL the most coveted sports event in sheer scale,ever! remarked Tahiliani. Interestingly,these team logo-based T-shirts have been designed for the Ms Bollywood contest thats being held as part of DLF Indian Premier League. The 15 finalists for this much awaited contest will be seen dressed in them and take to the ramp in a fashion show. As far as styling goes,the colours in use are vibrant with a lot of Indian prints on them. Whats more,Tahiliani has used Swarovski crystals as embellishments. I think this show will be an out of the box interesting spectacle for both Indian and international audiences,which will marry sports with fashion hence creating a new platform for both, the designer remarked.
