Sugarcane SAP fixed for 2011-12

The Punjab government on Thursday fixed the State Agreed Price (SAP) of advanced,medium and late varieties of sugarcane at Rs 230,Rs 225 and Rs 220 per quintal for the crushing season of 2011-12. A decision to this effect was taken in a meeting of Sugarcane Control Board chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal here at the CM’s residence. The state government had already fixed the SAP of advanced,medium and late varieties of sugarcane at Rs 200,Rs 195 and Rs 190 per quintal for the crushing season of 2010-11.
