The viral video has drawn massive criticism of the teacher and the school authorities. Parents and social activists have demanded strict disciplinary measures, accusing the school of negligence. Initial reports misidentified the school as a government institution, but it was later confirmed to be privately run.

Sukhwinder Singh, the district education officer, stated that the matter has been marked for inquiry and a block-level officer will investigate. “This incident occurred three months ago, but the video has only recently surfaced. Appropriate action will follow after the inquiry,” Singh said.
