St John’s beat DPS-40 to claim title

However,Rishab Sharda,with plenty of AITA titles in his kitty,made a confident start and defeated Shreyas Chopra 6-0,6-1 in a lop-sided encounter to make it 1-1.

Playing from the baseline,Rishab indulged Shreyas in long rallies and also played some exquisite top spins to claim the first set 6-0 without losing a single game.

In the next set also,Rishab continued to dominate his opponent and completely bamboozled Shreyas with his shot selections. In the end,Shreyas lost 6-1.

With the match poised at 1-1,Rishab and Dhruv Sharma entered the court and showing great coordination and understanding,defeated Sahinshu Sharma and Sehaj Sidhu to help St John’s beat DPS-40,6-1,6-4.

Meanwhile,in the match played to decide the third position,DAV Senior Secondary School,Sector 8,registered a facile 2-0 win over Saupin’s School,Sector 32.

In the U-14 girls’ category,Ryan International School,Sector 49,registered a hard-fought 2-1 win over Sacred Heart School,Sector 26.
