Aspiring jewellery designers studying at the Chandigarh campus of the Jewellery Design and Technology Institute (JDTI) can now win a chance to design a theme-based collection for jewellery label Angaaraas Heritage line. Launched by designer couple Manisha and Saurabh Mody around three years back in Mumbai,Angaaraa is now a pan-India brand. We have always believed in nurturing new talent as we feel young designers have an ability to think beyond the conventional, explains Manisha Mody,the creative head,in town for the preview of select pieces from their different collections. Apart from working on a special collection,deserving students will also be provided internships and placements. We have earlier associated with brands like Tanishq,Sant Ram,Mehrasons and Ganpati Jewellers as placement partners, said a beaming Ritu Malik,CEO, JDTI.
