He is India’s favourite export to the global fashion world,and now designer Manish Arora is packing his bags for Sydney. The announcement was made on the opening day of WIFW Spring-Summer 2014,which also saw the second edition of Oz Fest — a cultural festival organised by the Australian High Commission in India — roll out with a special design showcase. Arora,who divides his time between Paris and New Delhi,will present a collection that “celebrates Indian craftsmanship” at the show to be held in Sydney later this month. The announcement was followed by the premiere of a five-minute short film,titled Holi Holy,made by Arora in association with ace photographer Bharat Sikka,based on the city of Varanasi.
