Security breach at PU hostel: Two suspended

In the wake of the incident where the president of a students’ party entered the Panjab University girls hostel late at night,the University authorities today suspended two security staff members who were on duty.

The decision came today after a report was sought by the warden of the hostel number 6 Sarojini Extension. The report found two security staff members of the university employed on daily wages,security guard Kuldeep Kumar and attendant Savitri Devi,responsible for the security breach by a student late at night to hand over cake to the hostel inmates on August 14 around 11.30 pm.

The university authorities were informed about the incident which later announced a probe into the case. The hostel warden was asked to submit a report for the same.
