Saplings planted in Sector-35 park

The annual tree plantation drive of the Municipal Corporation entered its second day today. MC Joint Commissioner TPS Phoolka planted saplings of neem and chandni in the park in Sector 35.

Area councillor Harjinder Kaur along with the area residents and XEN Horticulture Arun Kumar Kansal also planted saplings of various plants. A total of 100 saplings were planted in the sector including those of putrangjiva,neem,chandni,koeleteria and gulmohar. A plantation drive was also held in sector 40. Area councillor Jagjit Singh Kang started the drive by planting a sapling of neem in the park. He was accompanied by area residents and officers of Municipal Corporation. Total 60 plants were planted in the area. Hedge was planted along the railing in the park.
