RTI library inaugurated in Chandigarh

One can now access all the information collected through the Right to Information Act anywhere in India within the confines of a single library.

One can now access all the information collected through the Right to Information Act anywhere in India within the confines of a single library. In a first in Asia,a library dedicated to RTI documents has been inaugurated at the Dwarka Das library in the Lala Lajpat Rai Bhavan.

The event marks the 7 th anniversary of Presidential assent to the RTI Act. The Citizens Voice and RTI Users Association is spearheading the development of the library in association with Servants of Peoples Society,a society founded by Lala Lajpat Rai in 1921.
