Ready to Groove

Boogie Woogie is returning after a hiatus of four years with hosts Jaaved Jaffri,Naaved Jaffri and Ravi Behl.

When she was all of eight,Sargun Mehta put on her dancing shoes and made a dash for the Boogie Woogie auditions being held in the city. “Those were my earliest memories of this iconic dance show; it changed the way India perceived dance,” says the city girl,a popular television actor now. She debuted in 12/24 Karol Bagh on Zee and is now playing Ganga on Balika Vadhu. One of the country’s first and original dance reality shows,Boogie Woogie is returning after a hiatus of four years with hosts Jaaved Jaffri,Naaved Jaffri and Ravi Behl. This time around,Mehta will be seen anchoring the show along with child actor Rakshit Wahi,who played the role of Sunny in Parvarrish. “With every season,the show only got better,and a generation has grown up with it,” says Mehta. With her roots in theatre,Mehta,apart from regular TV shows,experimented with comedy on Sony’s Comedy Circus and is prepping to give anchoring a shot now. While the show is likely to go on air once Kaun Banega Crorepati is over,Mehta is also counting the days to her wedding with co-actor Ravi Dubey. “Almost three weeks from now,I will be in Chandigarh to tie the knot,” she says.
