Led by Rahul’s all-round performance (23 runs and 2 for 13),Chandigarh defeated Yamunanagar by four wickets in a match played during the ongoing Haryana inter-district cricket tournament for U-19,at Government Model Senior Secondary School,Sector 19,Chandigarh.Yamunanagar team was bowled out for 115 runs in 24.2 overs. Vishal topscored for the visiting team. For Chandigarh,Rahul bowled well to scalp two wickets. In reply,Chandigarh raced to the target in 22.4 overs,losing six wickets. Krishan Khatri (29 no),Krishan Khatri (29 no) and Rahul (23) were the chief architects of Chandigarh chase.

Football tournaments for girls on the anvil

The Chandigarh Football Association (CFA) will conduct Chandigarh sub-junior girls state meet for Dr Kamesh Bhargava Memorial Trophy and Chandigarh junior girls state meet for Deepak Kampania Trophy in the last week of July. The players born or after January 1,1998 and also players born or after January 1,1996 are eligible for the respective tournaments. The last date for entries is July.
