While most of us would wait for summer vacations to go on a holiday, there are some who enjoy it every weekend. Here’s meeting a few. “With the stressful lifestyle,we need to rejuvenate ourselves every now and then and waiting for the summer vacation is just not for us,” says Nisha Nagpal,a beauty saloon owner, who goes for a two-day vacation closer home, every week. Mostly making a trip to Kufri or Kasauli,“it acts as a stress buster for me and the kids. Particularly, because my family enjoys the quiet hills to the hustle-bustle at relative’s house, where they end up being glued to the idiot box,” chips in husband Rajesh Nagpal,an employee with State Bank of India, who tries and shortlist new places once a month. “This,to increase Saina and Kanvi,my daughters, knowledge base,” he says that these frequent holidays also help increase the productivity. Anandita Jindal, who’s has just cleared her Class XII exams, too agrees. “It’s fun and increases the bond between friends,” Jindal says that her group of friends like to get adventurous. “From trekking, rafting to mountain climbing,we do it all,” she chirps, this week choosing between Morni hills and Fagu.

Costing between Rs 2,500 to Rs 4,000 per day, depending on the destination,“these two days at relaxing retreats around Chandigarh charge you for the week ahead,” says Digvijay Beniwal,a BA first year student of SD College, insisting that the trip does increase concentration. Packing his bags for a drive uphill,“Even when we are low on budget, just a drive along the nature is good enough,“ he tells us the last visit to Tikar Tal’s memorable. “But for future,we have zeroed down on Dagshai,Kasauli,Barog,Renuka Lake,Dharampur,Kasauli,Chail and Bilaspur.” So,where are you heading for?
