PU committee records statements of UBS profs

The sexual harassment committee of the Panjab University (PU) on Friday recorded the statements of University Business School (UBS) chairperson Prof A K Vashisht and of Prof Dinesh Gupta.

On the complaint of Neha Gulati,assistant professor with UBS,who alleged that her modesty was outraged and was threatened on April 11 at the premises of the varsity,the UT Police on May 21 had booked the department chairperson and Prof Gupta.

The committee had on May 28 recorded the statement of a witness of Gulati while on May 24,the committee had recorded the statements of eight eye witnesses,called by the committee from UBS.

In the first meeting held on May 14,the committee had recorded the statements of the complainant.
