Sood lost the first game 10-12 to Arjun before claiming the second game with a margin of 12-10. Sood then claimed the third game with an 11-9 margin before claiming the fourth game with a 11-6 margin to win the match. In the third encounter of the tie,Abhay Sood of Panjab University campus,ended the challenge of Dipanshu with a 11-4,11-4,11-7. Sood claimed the first game with a margin of 11-4 before claiming the second game with an identical margin. Sood then went on to win the third game with an 11-7 margin to hand PU a 3-0 lead. In the fourth encounter,Abhilakshay scored an 11-1,11-1,11-0 win over Sahil Sehgal of DAV College,Sector 10. Abhilakshay claimed the first game with an 11-1 margin before claiming the second game with an identical margin. Abhilakshay then claimed the final game with an 11-0 margin to win the match. In the final encounter,Abhinav Madra of Panjab University campus ended the challenge of Gurteshwar Singh of DAV College,Chandigarh with a 11-1,11-2,10-12,11-8 win.

In another tie of the day,Sri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College,Sector 26 scored a 5-0 win over GGDSD College,Sector 32. Jaspinder scored an 11-0,11-1,11-4 win over Munish Bansal while Gourav scored an 11-2,11-3,11-4 win over Rohit Gupta. Deepinder scored an 11-6,11-5,11-1 win over Sunny Jain while Amrinder scored an 11-1,11-1,11-3 win over Ishan Bhateja.
