PSEB engineers to hold protest against management

The executive committee of the Punjab State Electricity Board Engineers Association in its emergency meeting held at Patiala has decided to launch protest against the indifferent attitude of the management towards the issues affecting the engineers.

The executive committee of the Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB) Engineers Association in its emergency meeting held at Patiala has decided to launch protest against the indifferent attitude of the management towards the issues affecting the engineers.

The management,they alleged,has ignored the policies and rules of the Board and given extension in service to a superannuated engineer,who is working as an advisor,system operations,for over two years. 

The Association has accused the PSEB management of defying the policy of the Punjab Government of not granting extension to the superannuated employees. 

The association is holding regional protest meetings from December 3 followed by zonal protest meetings from December 15.

The engineers will also hold a state-level dharna in front of Patiala head office of PSEB on January 7,2010,pressing the management to accept their demands.
