Pranav topples Pradeep to surge ahead

Pranav Jain caused the biggest upset of the day by beating highly rated Pradeep Kinger by 2-1 (45-64,79-55,55-28) in the first round of the 2nd Chandigarh Club Snooker and Billiards Amateur Championship held at the Chandigarh Club,to advance further. Though Pranav lost the first set 45-64, but he staged a brilliant comeback in the match to win the next two sets convincingly. In other matches,Ajay Gupta outplayed Neeraj Sarna 2-1 (52-34,46-59,50-49) to win the match while Vaibhav Anand got the better off Sanjeev Sood 2-0 (85-35,58-57). Manav Dhawan too had it easy against KS Nalwa,whom he defeated 2-1 (62-60,22-66,56-54). On day one,Vineet Khosla had beaten Dharminder Heeru by 2-1(34-37,45-23,47-45) while Ritwik Sood had trounced Tarundeep Singh Chadha 2-1 (29-47,34-30,21-19)
