The employees are pressing for filling up of vacant posts of junior engineers, line man and assistant line man. The union is also pressing for removal of pay anomalies, offer of appointment to the next of kin of deceased employees by scrapping 5 per cent cealing on Punjab pattern, providing safety devices and soap to the workmen, procurement of materials and renovation of houses built for electricity employees. The employees are also demanding for promotion.
