Polytechnic student stabbed to death in Ambala

According to sources,the student from Jind,Sunil,had come to the Ambala institute to meet his friends. While on campus,Sunil was attacked by Bhupinder,who reportedly stabbed the former in the stomach with a dagger killing him on the spot.

Sources said Bhupinder harboured a grudge against Sunil.

Bhupinder also was allegedly injured during the incident. Sunil’s friend Praveen Nehra,however,said the injuries on Bhupinder were self-inflicted.

Agitated students later gathered at the Polytechnic Chowk and blocked the Ambala-Hissar highway demanding Bhupinder’s arrest.

They raised slogans against the Haryana government and tried to disturb a function organised by the Health department,where local Congress MLA Vinod Sharma was the chief guest. The police team,led by DSP Bhupinder Sharma,had to resort to mild lathicharge to disperse the unruly students.

A case of murder has been registered.
