Department of English and Cultural Studies
The entrance test of candidates whose score is 55 per cent in MA second year (in case of general category) and 50 per cent (in case of SC/ST category) for admission to MPhil English (Regular),will be held on July 28 at 9.30 am at the Department of English and Cultural Studies,Panjab University.

Department of Life Long Learning and Extension
Counselling for one-year diploma in Pre-School Education will be held in the Department of Life Long Learning and Extension on August 6 at 10 am.

Admit cards of PULEET entrance test dispatched
The admit cards of PULEET Entrance Test-2010,to be conducted by the Panjab University on August 8,have been dispatched to all eligible candidates by registered post on July 23. Those who do not receive the admit cards by July 30 may get the duplicate cards from the office (CET Cell,Aruna Ranjit Chanda Hall,near Post Office) on August 6 and 7 after completing pre-requisite requirements as detailed in Para 32 in page 9 of the PULEET Prospectus-2010,according to the Controller of Examinations,PU.

Death Condoled
PU Vice-Chancellor Prof R C Sobti,teachers and officials condoled the demise of S Ram Rakha Singh,father of Professor SS Bari,Registrar,at the Senate Hall at 12 noon on Monday. Singh passed away on Sunday at 11 pm. Two minutes silence was observed to pay homage to the departed soul. The Bhog ceremony will take place on Sunday from 1 pm to 2 pm at Gurudwara Sahib,Sector 15,Chandigarh.

Department of Economics
MPhil entrance test for Economics will be held on July 28 at 11 am,followed by an interview at the department,Arts Block No 3,Panjab University.
