Pak actress Veena Malik to star in Punjabi flick

A Punjabi by birth is a Punjabi by heart,may it be India or Pakistan. And to add a unique flavour to the Punjabi film industry,Pakistani actress and former Big Boss contestant Veena Malik is all set to debut in the film Eh Dil De Mamla staring Inderjeet Niku,Mangi Mahal and Raj Jhujhar.

Being a die-hard Punjaban,I always had an ardent desire to work in a Punjabi movie which is all about pure Punjabi emotions, said Veena expressing her bliss over the official announcement of the film at Score,Sector 8. Accompanied by the cast of the film,producer Angad Singh said that the 45-days long shooting schedule of the film will commence on March 8 in parts of Chandigarh,Jalandhar,Ludhiana and locations outside India like the United Kingdom.

Highlighting the specialities of the music of the film,Inderjeet Niku,the leading man in the film said,We have worked hard to create seven situational songs for the movie out of which I have lent my voice for five of them including two duets with melody queen Sunidhi Chauhan. I m sure the music of the film will appeal all kinds of audiences. He also spoke about his other projects,Dil Pardesi Ho Gaya and Mere Yaar Kaminey,set to release in the upcoming months.

Talking about her rise to fame with television Reality Show,Bigg Boss,Veena said,There is little reality in the reality shows being aired these days. As far as Bigg Boss is concerned,it is a show made completely on the editing table that uses mere camera tricks. Although television is a medium having a wider reach,films are my first love.

When asked about the difference between the Pakistani and the Hindi film industry,Veena said,The overall scenario of the Pakistani film industry is not very promising but I believe that art knows no boundaries. Every industry works within its own limits and I love to stay in my limits.
