With the arrival of the monsoon,the mood is set to please the senses. To offer a flavoursome dining option,Hometel Chandigarh has come up with a Chinese Food Festival. On till July 15,the venue of the festival is Flavours,the all-day dining area of the hotel. The dishes for the festival have been culled from the cuisine served in Cantonese,Hunan and Schezwan regions. The non-vegetarian fare includes the likes of the spicy and pungent chicken in chilli Schezwan pepper that sees the liberal use of garlic and chilli pepper. Another popular dish is fish in garlic wine sauce that is made by using rice wine. One can choose from vegetarian Chinese specialties like Schezwan wontons,tofu in Hong Kong style,vegetable dumplings in coriander chilly sauce and the like. The dessert station offers some new arrivals like apple and cinnamon rolls with fried ice cream. The hotel also has a mojito promotion on and is offering some variations of the drink like panjito that is served with pineapple juice,melon mojito that has melon chunks muddled with mint leaves and the seasonal favourite,mango mojito. Learning workshops for children need not be restricted to vacations only. Tiny Feet Giant Leaps located in Sector 8,Chandigarh,has rolled out a gamut of classes to choose from. Starting from July 16 till September 28,children between one to 14 years can enroll for these classes. The interesting line-up includes “Around the World” series that will involve exploring a different country in every class. “Messy play”,on the other hand,will have students feel,smell,see and sometimes even taste the consequences of their messy active play. “Wordcraft” will acquaint them to art of writing from different point of views using rich vocabulary and right expression.
