A day after rounding up waiters, ice cream and flower vendors, police failed to make any headway in the murder case of the Ola cab driver.
The police investigation, however, is indicating that the murder was committed by some migrants, as the weapons used in the murder looks like ‘khukri’.
The police said after questioning the workers of some dhabas and some vendors, they are now scrutinising the call details of the deceased cab driver, Manoj, and also collected the call details records to scrutinise the calls made from near the crime scene.

“So far, the investigation is going in the right direction. The weapon used in the crime looks like a ‘khukri’, which is usually used by migrants. We have questioned some migrants who are living nearby. The investigation so far also indicates that there were more than one murderer,” said an officer.
Meanwhile, Manoj’s family said he used to call home everyday. Manoj’s brother-in-law, Jawaharlal, said the deceased talked to his wife on Monday evening. “He was concerned about the studies of his sons, he used to call everyday and talk to his wife about the progress of his sons’ studies.
