Its a fairly new cafe in the city but one thats slowly but surely finding a following. The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf,a US-based coffee and tea chain housed in Hotel Aqua Marine,Sector 22,Chandigarh,recently opened its doors to people in the city. Situated in the hotels lobby section,the cafe has a lounge-like seating and boasts of a menu which takes both tea and coffee seriously. While their ice-blended drinks and deep roast coffee are popular,we loved the tea line-up that offers everything from classic black teas,flavoured black tea and green teas to herbal and fruit infusions from Sri Lanka,China,Australia,South Africa,Japan and India. The herbal infusion called African Sunrise is definitely a must try. The cafe is currently celebrating its 50 years of existence worldwide and its five-year-long presence in India with a new menu and merchandise. The new food menu has a noticeable gourmet flavour. Choose from the chilly cheese baguette or pizza curl. The signature Philadelphia Cheesecake now finds competition from the new arrivals Banofee cake and silky chocolate mousse. A meal for two will set you back by Rs 550.
