Colors is back with its reality TV show,Bigg Boss 4,which is expected to go on air later this year. After much speculations,the channel has announced this season’s host — Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. In the earlier seasons of Bigg Boss on COLORS,the host acted as the housemates’ friend,philosopher and guide — but now all this is set to change as the host,we hear,will be hostile — sympathy will be replaced by apathy,emotional support by reprimand or ridicule. While Khan will be a friend for those who play it clean,he is going to be hostile to those who indulge in manipulations,back-biting and politics. Rajesh Kamat,Group COO Viacom18 and CEO COLORS,said,“Bigg Boss is one show that cuts across both India as well as Bharat in popularity and appeal.”

Khan said,“Among all the reality TV shows I have seen,Bigg Boss has always intrigued me the most. It is amazing to see how people react under unique circumstances and to what levels they can go to win a competition. I will not take any hypocrisy lightly”. Bigg Boss is a reality show where 14 handpicked strangers are locked in a house,for close to 85 days with 35 cameras following their every move 24×7 and Bigg Boss,the ultimate authority in the house who ensures that their stay is anything but comfortable. Last year,on Season 3 of Bigg Boss,90 million viewers watched the show over three months.
