National Consumer Day observed

A seminar titled ‘Be literate and save your investments’ was held by the Consumers’ Association at ICSSR,Panjab University,on Monday to mark National Consumer Day. Surinder Verma,chairman of the association,was the main resource person for the seminar. He said that precautions must be taken by investors while dealing with the stock market. Verma advised that one should buy stocks only after thoroughly studying about the company concerned. He also warned prospective investors that it is important to know the capacity to take risks in the equity market.
