Micro observers for sensitive poll booths

The Election Commission of India on Tuesday appointed micro observers for all sensitive and hyper-sensitive booths in Renuka and Nalagarh constituencies,where bypolls will be held on November 30.

The Election Commission of India on Tuesday appointed micro observers for all sensitive and hyper-sensitive booths in Renuka and Nalagarh constituencies,where bypolls will be held on November 30. It has also ordered that these booths be videographed and photographed. Moreover,central paramilitary forces will be deployed in 16 polling stations,which have been declared sensitive and hyper-sensitive,said Deputy Commissioner Meira Mohanty. Himachal Chief Electoral Officer Narinder Chauhan said: “No political party will be allowed to set up booths within 200 m of the polling station.”
