Mann accused of distributing pamphlets on Khalistan; probe on

The Sirmour district police have ordered an inquiry into the allegations against Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee chief and former MP Simranjit Singh Mann that he distributed pamphlets in support of the Khalistan movement outside Gurdwara Paonta Sahib on Wednesday.

The Sirmour district police have ordered an inquiry into the allegations against Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (Amritsar) chief and former MP Simranjit Singh Mann that he distributed pamphlets in support of the Khalistan movement outside Gurdwara Paonta Sahib on Wednesday. According to reports,Mann,who was on his way to Amritsar from Dehradun,spent three hours in the gurdwara and distributed the pamphlets,carrying the photograph of Bhindarnwale,among the people present there.

Sirmour SP Puneeta Bhardwaj said she had ordered an inquiry and action was being taken. Deputy Commissioner Meera Mohanti said the DSP had been asked to collect the pamphlets and register a case against Mann.
